On our first visit our room was incorrect. We had requested a beachfront room initially. They swiftly corrected it, upgraded our room to the best in the resort and have upgraded us no questions asked upon subsequent visits. In general we found all of the staff friendly and accommodating.
If you like the idea of a short walk to dinner. There are restaurants on the hill where it resides, but the best places are down the hill and a very short walk away. If they still have taco Tuesday at the Flamingo Beach cafe for lunch, get it. Its two tacos of your choice and two drinks. A good deal and the tacos are excellent.

The Hilton at Flamingo Beach is located on Simpson Bay, the hotspot of cuisine on the Dutch side of the island.

As an island of Caribbean culinary excellence, there are few restaurants that will disappoint. Some of our favorite spots are Captains Rib Shack, La Sucre, Vesna’s and Juliette’s Bistro.

St. Maarten is half Dutch and half French. Leading to different experiences just a short cab or bus ride away. The weather is fantastic and provides opportunity for year round endeavors.
