Ship and Amenities

The Scarlet Lady

Where they Really Vow2Wow:

Clean, incredible spaces to enjoy! Decor is on point and a lot of fun!

A modern experience with surprises around every corner.

Great balconies with the signature red hammock

Food and drinks were fabulous and unlike any other ship food we have experienced. Amazing dinners and brunch at almost every restaurant.

The Dock on deck 7 of the ship outside was our favorite place on the ship! Great drinks, apps and a good place to make new friends! Great views when sailing to the next port.

Fun casino and entertainment. We even won! Something for everyone onboard.

The environment and people are incredibly diverse and inclusive. The staff was awesome and kind at every spot on the cruise! Smiles everywhere made us want to come back for more.

Sails from Miami, FL port Terminal V

They Could Vow 2 Improve:

There is a shuttle available to take you to lunch. while waiting to board, but it was crowded with long lines. We found it better to ride share to lunch and back for a less stressful time and it was quick and a lot easier.

The pool is very small. If you didn’t get there super early, no chairs were available. The deck gets really hot, there are no misters or ways to cool down.

Making dinner reservations can be frustrating. We had to wait until we were onboard and then had to spend the beginning of our cruise in a very long line to get reservations. Without reservations you could not get in!

Cabin bathrooms are pretty small, could use more space.

Where they Really Vow2Wow:

All Staff members ensured you had an amazing time on board.

The sail away party is spectacular with a Miami Club DJ and free champagne!

Onboard shows are “mind blowing”

Make sure you attend Scarlet Night! It’s like something you’ve never seen before.

A size-able and clean casino was a good spot to spend a late evening. We won and it was one of the best cruise ship casino payouts we have ever seen. Highly encourage risk takers to check it out!

Tattoo parlor onboard was super cool and we stopped by often to see the amazing body art developed throughout our journey.

Where they could Vow 2 Improve:

Make sure you’re on the earlier side to events, they fill up quickly and for good reason you’re going to have a really good time. Wednesday was Scarlet Night and a must attend it was the highlight of our week. Get a seat early if you want chairs!

You can wait in line a relaly long time for drag queen baby and other activities. In fact, based on the line, we did skip some activities. We think they could improve that process for sure.

Food and Drink

Delights on the move

Where they really Vow2Wow

The Wake

The top dining experience on board. We were lucky enough to eat here twice - once for brunch and then again for dinner. The ambiance, service and food were absolutely the best on the ship. Matt had a culinary melt down over the clam chowder. It was by far the best clam chowder he’s ever had. Our steaks were cooked to perfection. The lemon dessert was absolutely off the charts. Nothing disappoints from The Wake.

Razzle Dazzle

Casual dining in a bright atmosphere. The menu is mostly American based food with a spin. Good food that scratches the comfort food itch. We had breakfast at Razzle Dazzle. Some of the dishes are vegetable heavy or vegetarian. There really is something for everyone at this unique restaurant. It wasn’t our favorite on the ship, but it’s great for those who are vegan or vegetarian. They will also make concessions for people who have allergies (like us - allergic to all the tree nuts!) and this restaurant was very careful with making sure we were safe.

Pink Agave

The Mexican restaurant onboard with a great atmosphere! Our entrees were good, but the guac and chips really hit for us! We may have had too many drinks before this dinner and have a hard time remembering what we chose. We are a good time! But I do remember enjoying dinner before heading to the best ship karaoke you have ever seen!

Gunbae

Excellent Korean BBQ with a fun twist with your food prepared while you watch! We enjoyed the shared dining experience. It was a chance to meet some other shipmates and share some excellent Korean meats. This experience was one of the most fun that we had while dining. You sit with others and if you are like us, you will leave dinner with 6 new friends. It’s definitely a very loud experience, as the people volume was off the charts in there, so if you prefer a quieter, quaint dinner we would recommend some of the other options.

Extra Virgin

This was Heather’s absolute favorite dining experience on the ship! The steak here may have even been better than the Wake. Cooked to perfection and fabulous with a glass of chardonnay and the charcuterie board. If we had to choose one more restaurant to go to twice, it would hands down be this one.

Test Kitchen

An ever changing menu keeps this experience interesting. We liked it the least of all, but there were some bright spots. There was creamed corn that was outstanding and the menu was tasty, but for the adventurous. This is definitely a long experience and I think we made the mistake of doing this night one after a long day of travel. We would consider skipping this one

Lick Me Till .. Ice cream

It’s rich and delicious. Stop by and give it a try when you’re on the way back from dinner. Worth the calories!

The Dock House

We loved the food from the dock house, fresh and light. The flavors were off the charts and a great atmosphere.

The Pizza Place

Great late night eats or stop in for a snack. The pizza is made to order and delicious. With a wide variety of toppings there is something for everyone to enjoy.

The Galley

As far as general dining absolutely everything we had was excellent. Fresh food, fantastic quality, incredible variety and lines were rare. So many choices and definitely a higher level of ala cart than you would experience on other cruise lines.

Where they Could Vow 2 Improve:

Overall the food was excellent. Our only feedback is that Test Kitchen could have a more palate pleasing based menu with some less “out there” items. The food tasted good, it was more of an experience.

Making reservations can be tough. Because we booked our cruise a little later, we could not make them in advance. This lead us to standing in line for at least an hour once on the ship to book through the staff onboard.

Real improvement is needed on the Virgin app. For a cruise line that really brings a top tier experience, the app should really mirror the onboard experience. It runs well below expectations and we needed staff to help us a few times.
